Rev. Davis Johnson has been our pastor since July of 2022. Pastor Davis comes to us from Anniston First UMC where he was the Associate Pastor of Youth and Congregational Care. He grew up outside of Nashville in Franklin, TN, where he learned church sound engineering and how to lead worship. Davis graduated from Birmingham Southern in 2016 and Candler School of Theology in 2019, and he was ordained as a United Methodist Elder in 2021. Davis's wife Rev. Beth Johnson is an ordained United Methodist Deacon serving in the North Alabama Conference on loan from the North Georgia conference, where she was ordained the same year as Davis. Alongside their ministry sidekick, Rooster - a goldendoodle, the Rev.'s Johnson are more than excited to be in Southside to serve our church and community!
